On the Wing

Observations in Color and Flight

On the Wing is a visual sequence based on the artist’s photographs exploring birds through color, texture, and environment. The collection centers on brief encounters with birds in their environments moments where color, behavior, composure, and presence feel at once ordinary and astonishing.

Rather than functioning as a field guide, On the Wing approaches birds as living presences whose composure, behavior, and awareness often suggest forms of intelligence both familiar and deeply unlike our own.

About the book

A visual study of birds through color, memory, and observation, On the Wing combines painterly avian imagery with quiet fragments of reflective text.
