About PiP Art Studio

PiP Art Studio is where the work begins.

The Studio brings together books, photography, painting, drawing, mixed media, and visual experiments shaped by decades of writing, travel, observation, and image-making. It is a living archive for collections that explore memory, place, nature, women’s history, mythology, imagination, and the visual charge of ordinary things seen closely.

Some images become books. Some become visual essays or image sequences. Some become prints, cards, or art pieces available through PiP.Art. Others remain part of the Studio archive or are available by request.

About the Artist

Paula Phelan is the artist, writer, photographer, and founder of PiP Art Studio.

Her work draws on decades of writing, travel, observation, and image-making. The Studio brings together photography, painting, drawing, books, mixed media, and visual experiments into a broad practice concerned with memory, place, nature, women’s history, wit, and the persistence of imagination.

The work often begins in the act of noticing: something seen, remembered, questioned, or held long enough to become an image. Across the Studio, individual works gather into books, sequences, collections, and visual archives.

PiP Art Studio is the creative home for the full body of work. PiP.Art offers selected books, prints, cards, and art pieces from the Studio’s collections.
